Pink Dogwoods, Original Oil Painting

I finished another small oil painting of dogwoods this week on a 8 x 10 inch gallery wrap canvas.  This one has an interesting background created from imagination and left over palette.   I like the brights and soft pink blends in these little guys.  Dogwood trees have a four petal flower and are among the earliest in the forest to blossom and create beautiful landscapes.  I like the way each flower has unique shapes and appear to be floating.  I used some impressionistic technique for the leaves and simple blends of aliz. crimson with white. The painting is $100 plus shipping.  I hope you enjoy the painting.

God Bless You,

Dogwoods in the Night, 12x16 Oil Painting

I posted this painting on April 10, 2010 but recently felt that I hadn't taken the painting far enough, so I broke out the bushes and added some more to the background. I also found a nice frame for it.  jimmie@jimmiesart.com if you would like to purchase this painting or other works.
