Above are a couple of oil paintings I haven't shown on the blog before. These were done as studies in 2007 on 14 x 11 inch gallery wrap canvases. They are free style 'off the cuff' compositions without use of references. Painting from photos and sketches prepared me to be able to draw, visualize and create paintings without references.
