Little Beach Bird, Original Oil Painting

I finished the second painting of the bird on the beach.  I like to paint groupings of related subjects and plan to add more to the sea bird list.  Sounds like an excuse to go to the beach and marshes for pics and inspiration.  Hope you like the painting.

A Little Bird on the Beach, Original Oil Painting

This little shore bird is painted on a 8 x 10 gallery wrap canvas in oils.  I have another view of him in progress and should finish it soon.  We are fortunate to live within a half hour driving time of the Gulf of Mexico.  Hope you like the painting.  (Sold)

Finished Oil Paintings, This Week

Forget Me Nots (Left)

I finished the first three over the weekend and the Bluebonnets last week.  The pictures are good, but there is no comparison to actual paintings on canvas.  Lighting and computer monitors result in a slight color shift.  All four are painted in oils on a gallery wrap 10 x 8 canvas in the portrait format.  The edges are also painted with the same dark green to harmonize the paintings as a group.
