Passionate Rose Oil Painting on a 16 by 20 inch gallery wrap canvas with edges painted.
I finished this one last week and have been waiting for it to dry and get some good pictures for printing. The one at left was taken with the paint still a little wet and shiny. The one on the right (taken later) has less glare and more suitable for printing. I am still experimenting with exposure and lighting to get a better shot to show the dark rich greens in the background. I have another rose painting on the easel now that is more colorful than this one. It has been cold and wet so oil paintings are taking longer to dry.
I will put a matte finish on the painting to even out the tone and dull the shiny spots. This one is still a work-in-progress until the clear top coat finish is on it.
